Two unidentified victims have lost their lives on Saturday, when an articulated truck laden with granite collided with a Lexus Sports Utility Vehicle on the Otedola bridge.
According to reports, the truck driver was said to have crashed off the crash barrier on the bridge and collided with the SUV.
The impact of the crash reportedly made the truck’s head to detach from its body and fell off the bridge.
The Director-General, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Dr Oluwafemi Oke-Osanyintolu, while confirming the accident said the mangled bodies of the victims had been recovered and bagged, adding that two people were rescued, treated on the spot and discharged.
He stated that one of the victims who sustained critical injuries had been taken to the hospital for treatment.
