President Buhari Receives New EFCC Chairman At State House

Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday received the newly confirmed chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Abdulrasheed Maina, at the State House, Abuja.

Abdulrasheed Bawa, 40, was on Wednesday confirmed as the substantive chairman of the anti-graft agency.

He succeeded Ibrahim Magu was suspended from office by President Muhammadu Buhari over alleged abuse of office and other offices.

Mr Bawa is the first chairman of the commission to be confirmed after 11 years.
