Mercy Eke, BBN season 4 winner replied to Nigerians concerning her accent attributes.
Saying: She was born in Imo State and has lived there all her life till 2016.
“When they talk about my accent (like the Igbo accent and all) I’ll look at them and ask how do you want me to speak?”
“I schooled in Owerri, both my primary and secondary education were in Owerri until my (NYSC) service,” she said.
She correlated her accent to that of Ronaldo;
“I look at the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and others, how do they speak?….. with their distinct accent or in their regional languages” she replied.
She asserted the reason for her accent is because she’s ‘Confident and Original.’
