Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, on Monday warned the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, to tread carefully in his pursuit of the party’s presidential ticket.
In an open letter to the former Lagos State governor, Fayose warned of the danger ahead if Tinubu goes ahead and participates in the APC presidential primary slated for Tuesday in Abuja.
He described Tinubu as “one of the leading lights of the Yoruba nation.”
The ex-governor expressed fear that the APC chieftain might get the same treatment from his political allies like the late former Premier of the old Western region, late Chief Obafemi Awolowo and the acclaimed winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election, MKO Abiola.

Fayose was reacting to the backlash trailing Tinubu’s last week’s remark on President Muhammadu Buhari in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
