'It's A Celebration Of Art And The Human Body' – Melania Trump Defends Her N*de Modeling

Former First Lady Melania Trump is speaking out in defense of her nude modeling career as part of the promotion for her upcoming memoir.

In a recent Instagram post on Wednesday, September 18, the 54-year-old former model addressed the scrutiny surrounding her past work, asking, “Why do I stand proudly behind my nude modeling?” 

She continued in a voiceover, "The real question is, why does the media choose to focus on my celebration of the human form in fashion photography?" Trump went on to question society’s ability to appreciate the beauty of the human body.

Her video featured iconic works of art, including Michelangelo’s *David*, Paul Cézanne’s *Bathers*, and John Collier’s *Lady Godiva*, as she drew parallels between her modeling and the historical reverence for the human form in art.

“Master artists throughout history have honored the human figure, stirring deep emotions and admiration. We should embrace our bodies and continue the timeless tradition of using art as a form of self-expression,” she said.

Born in Slovenia in 1970, Melania Trump began her modeling career as an adult and now, through her memoir, is challenging the narrative around her past.
