According to reports, children have sustained serious injuries due to this cruel tactic. The devices look exactly like regular pens or markers and are often colorful, which makes them even more appealing to kids.

Unaware of the danger, kids are drawn to these items thinking they are regular pens or toys, only for them to explode upon contact, leading to devastating injuries.

The images circulating online and across various WhatsApp groups show the tragic consequences of such incidents.

Innocent children lured by curiosity, have suffered severe injuries simply by picking up what they assumed were pens. 

These "silent bombs" are crafted to look exactly like writing instruments, often even colorful or stylish, making them more appealing and dangerous.

Authorities has strongly urged the general public to take this threat seriously, the consequences are real as seen in the injuries sustained by young victims or children. Adults are equally at risk, especially if they unknowingly come into contact with one of these deceptively disguised explosives."

1. Educate your children not to pick up unknown objects from the ground, especially pens, toys, or gadgets they didn’t drop themselves.
