"If I Have The Opportunity To Marry Again, As Second, Third, Fourth Or Fifth Wife, I Will Take It” – Toke Makinwa

Media personality Toke Makinwa has shared that she's open to settling down, even if it means being a second, third, or fourth wife.

A previous episode, Toke spoke about being single and childless at 40. She stated that despite being single and childless at that age, she doesn’t allow herself to wallow in pity. Rather, she chooses to focus on her accomplishments and the love she is surrounded with.

In a recent episode of her podcast, Toke Moments, she said that at this point in her life, if she had the opportunity to marry a second, third or fourth wife, she had to take it.

Toke Makinwa was once married to fitness expert Maje Ayinde, but their marriage ended in 2016 after two years due to adultery. Reflecting on the failed union, Toke revealed that despite her ex-husband fathering a child with another woman, she was still blamed for the collapse of the marriage. 

She shared how the public’s varying perceptions of her relationship left her traumatized, as she felt she was the true victim in the situation.

The media personality also addressed a false narrative about her views on men and marriage. She noted that many people wrongly assume she hates men or is a man basher, which isn't true. As a divorcee, Toke clarified that she actually loves marriage and being married, and she continues to advocate for it strongly, believing that "two is better than one."
