Remo Stars Make History, Win First-Ever NPFL Title – Nigeria Premier Football League (Videos)
Remo Stars carved their name in history book of football on Sunday night, clinching their first-ever Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title with a gritty 1-0 victory over Niger Tornadoes.
In a tense match filled with missed chances, Olamilekan Adedayo emerged as the hero, firing home the decisive goal in the 84th minute to spark wild celebrations across Ikenne and beyond.
From the outset, the Sky Blue Stars showed clear attacking intent. Alex Oyowah thought he had given Remo Stars an early lead, only to see his goal ruled out for offside. Further chances fell to Nduka Junior, Sikiru Alimi, and Bello Babatunde, but the breakthrough refused to come in the first half.
In the second half, Remo Stars continued to push forward. Oyowah rattled the crossbar and forced another smart save from the Niger Tornadoes' goalkeeper. Fresh energy from substitutions added momentum, and after Haruna Hadi came agonizingly close, it was Adedayo who finally delivered, rifling the ball into the net to send fans into a frenzy.
Managing the closing stages with poise, Remo Stars secured all three points and, with it, the league title. With 68 points from 35 matches, they now sit atop the NPFL table, completing a remarkable journey and ushering in a new chapter in Nigerian football history.

Congratulations to Remo Stars | Champions of the Nigeria Premier Football League!
