Arsenal's performance was far from poor as they didn’t back down. They continued to control the tempo and kept Gianluigi Donnarumma busy. Yet, it was PSG who once again found the net, this time through Achraf Hakimi in the 72nd minute, finishing off a swift counterattack.
Bukayo Saka gave Arsenal a glimmer of hope with a goal in the 76th minute, but the young winger would later rue a golden opportunity he missed to equalize, blasting over the bar from close range.
The France gaint executed their chances efficiently, with Donnarumma putting in a standout performance between the sticks to keep Arsenal at bay.
Post-match, Mikel Arteta remained proud of his team’s efforts. “We did everything but win,” he said. “The team showed character, quality, and courage, but we were missing that final touch. Nights like these are part of our journey. We’ll come back stronger.”
