In Milan: Inter Edge Barcelona 4-3 to Reach Champions League Final

Last night's clash is one of the most dramatic in recent UEFA Champions League history as Inter Milan overcame Barcelona 4-3 after extra time, securing a 7-6 aggregate win and booking their place in the final in Munich.

The electric atmosphere at the San Siro fueled Inter Milan’s dominant first-half performance. Lautaro Martínez broke the deadlock in the 21st minute with a precise finish after a rapid counterattack. The Italian side continued to press and were rewarded just before halftime when Hakan ÇalhanoÄŸlu calmly converted a penalty, giving Inter a 2-0 lead at the break and putting them ahead on aggregate.

Barcelona returned to the pitch with renewed purpose and quickly shifted momentum in their favor. Eric García ignited the comeback with a headed goal in the 55th minute. Minutes later, Dani Olmo added another, leveling the aggregate score. Then, in the 87th minute, Raphinha found the back of the net, putting Barcelona 3-2 up on the night and 6-5 ahead on aggregate.

Just as Barcelona thought they had secured the win, Inter responded in stunning fashion. In stoppage time, Francesco Acerbi rose highest to head in a corner, making it 3-3 and forcing extra time.

The decisive moment came in the 99th minute, when substitute Davide Frattesi drilled home the winning goal after a clever pass from Nicolò Barella. Inter held on through a tense final stretch to seal a 4-3 victory on Tuesday night.

Dafy World learnt that Yann Sommer, Inter's veteran goalkeeper, delivered a clutch performance, making several critical saves which includes a stunning stop to deny Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal in the 95th minute. His efforts were crucial in preserving Inter’s path to the final.

With this historic win, Inter Milan advances to the Champions League final, where they will face the winner of the Paris Saint-Germain vs. Arsenal semifinal. The final is set for May 31 at the Allianz Arena in Munich, promising yet another European night to remember.

Inter fans will relish this victory for years to come — a classic European tie that had everything: goals, drama, comebacks, and a heroic finish.
