107 Delected Text: Aaron Phypers Accuses Estranged Wife Denise Richards Of Six-Month Affair With ‘Special Forces’ Instructor Rudy Reyes
Aaron Phypers has made explosive allegations against his estranged wife, actress Denise Richards, accusing her of a six-month affair with Rudy Reyes, her instructor on the reality show Special Forces: World’s Toughest Challenge.
In a letter obtained by Page Six, reportedly shared with Richards’ family and friends, Phypers expressed heartbreak over what he claims was an ongoing relationship between Richards and Reyes.
“Privately, I’ve wrestled with the painful truth: that Denise has been involved in an ongoing affair with her ‘Special Forces’ instructor, Rudy Reyes,” Phypers alleged. “She begged me not to leave, saying it was nothing and that she only loved me. Then, she denied it all, even the explicit messages I found. Despite her promise to stop, more lies and shocking evidence emerged.”
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Phypers claimed he discovered the alleged affair in April when he found over 100 sext messages on Richards’ phone.
“I just had this feeling that something was off because her behavior had changed,” Phypers said. “I opened her phone—we both know each other’s passwords—and I found 107 deleted texts between her and Rudy.”
The messages reportedly included explicit photos, videos, and intimate content, which Phypers says “broke [his] heart.” Despite Richards’ promises to end the relationship, he claims she resumed contact with Reyes by May, a fact he allegedly discovered over the Fourth of July weekend.
Phypers further alleged that Richards created a separate phone number to communicate with Reyes and staged arguments at home to cover up out-of-town meetings.
“She flies Rudy to private hotels under the guise of ‘work trips,’” he claimed in the letter.
During one confrontation, Phypers says Richards destroyed his phone after realizing he had forwarded her conversations with Reyes to himself. Portions of these alleged messages have since been published by the Daily Mail.
Phypers filed for divorce, ending their nearly seven-year marriage, and is requesting spousal support. In response, Richards filed for and was granted a temporary restraining order, accusing Phypers of physical abuse—a claim he strongly denies.
Phypers also accused Richards of substance abuse, claiming:
“She’s got a real problem. She mixes Vicodin with booze, and she stays up all night… She buys them in bottles of 500 pills. At $10–$50 each, you do the math—there’s a lot of money going out the window.”
He also mentioned tensions in their home due to Richards’ many pets and frequent house moves, reportedly six relocations in under 10 years.
Rudy Reyes, 53, who first gained attention as an instructor on Special Forces, was engaged to model Jade Struck during season three of the show, which began airing in January. However, in February, Reyes announced via Instagram that the couple had split, calling it an “opportunity for growth and improvement.”
Reyes, a former United States Marine, has not addressed Phypers’ allegations. Representatives for both Richards and Reyes have yet to comment publicly. “
