Nollywood star Jim Iyke has proven that when it comes to expressing love, he does it with a bold, unapologetic flair!
In a fiery yet heartfelt birthday message to fellow actress Kate Henshaw (@k8henshaw), Jim broke all the conventional birthday norms as the notes began with the explosive phrase:
"F**k you, Kate."
But don’t be fooled — it wasn’t anger. It was affection, Nigerian-style! 😂
According to the lengthy notes, he opened up about their long history together — from how she supported him during his early career struggles, to how he once had strong feelings for her that went beyond friendship.
He recalled how she would give him heads-up at auditions, sometimes slip money into his hands for food and transport, and how she always looked out for him. But in his words, “you knew all that time I wanted to hit that.”
He also spoke about how their relationship changed when he became overwhelmed by fame and made bad choices, saying that by the time something finally happened between them, he was too “wild and restless” to handle it.
Jim Iyke also referenced her impact on beauty standards, saying many young women try to keep up with her looks but can’t, because “it’s a Kate Henshaw world.”
Jim however explained the expression is a cultural way of showing love, humor, and genuine connection:
"This f**k you is just because we're Nigerians. We insult those we love!"
He reflected on their long-standing bond, calling Kate a phenomenal creature and a true force of nature. Time, distance, and even energy itself can't affect the love they share as friends:
"Time, matter, space and energy got nothing on our journey. Ours is the Barometer."
Ending on an emotional high, Jim signed off with:
"Your wild boy loves you!" 🖤🔥💯🙏🏾
