The teenager had left home on Thursday, April 25, to sit for her JAMB examination but later sent an SOS message from a vehicle, expressing fear that she might have entered the wrong car. After she remained missing for over 24 hours, her family took to social media to seek assistance in locating her. The family recently announced that Esther, who had traveled from Ajah to Epe in Lagos, was found after being "dropped off early hours of today, April 26, at Ijebu Ode of Ogun State.

App-based transport workers, including drivers in Nigeria, have declared a national strike scheduled for May 1st, 2025, International Workers' Day, to protest what they describe as "decades of exploitation and corporate arrogance" from ride-hailing giants such as Uber, Bolt, Lagride, Indrive, and Rida. In a press statement signed by Steven Iwindoye, Public Relations Officer of the Amalgamated Union of App-Based Transporters of Nigeria (AUATON), the drivers accused the companies of treating them as disposable tools while raking in billions from their sweat. "As we approach May 1st, 2025, we're calling for a unified global response to the challenges we face as app-based transporters," the statement read. "For too long, companies like Uber, Bolt, Lagride, Indrive, and Rida have ignored our concerns and disrespected our rights." Teen Girl Disappears From Disneyland After Family Argument

A 16-year-old girl has been reported missing at Disneyland after a disagreement with her family, authorities say. Annie Kathleen was last seen on Sunday, April 20, leaving Disney California Adventure Park by herself. Her disappearance has raised serious concern among her family and law enforcement. According to the Anaheim Police Department, she was last spotted around 4:45 p.m. walking alone on a sidewalk near Ball Road, which runs alongside the park's entrance. Since then, there has been no contact or confirmed sightings, prompting an urgent search effort. Annie is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing around 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Police say she is from Calipatria, California, and is unfamiliar with the Anaheim area where she vanished. They noted growing concerns for her well-being and confirmed that her family is deeply worried. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to contact the Anaheim Police Department.

In Lagos, a Magistrate court on Monday sentenced Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele-Bello and her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello a.k.a JJC skills to 14 days community service each. The couple have been asked to also pay N100,000 each as fine and observe Isolation period for 14 days. Both Funke and her husband were found guilty of violating the Public gathering directives of the Lagos state government.
