Nigeria — A male student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Anambra State, has tragically lost his life after reportedly jumping from a three-storey lodge near Royal Kitchen Junction, close to the university’s main gate. The incident occurred around 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, according to sources. Eyewitnesses at the scene claimed the student may have been under the influence of hard drugs when he leapt from the building. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where medical personnel confirmed his death. While details are still emerging, residents of the area said they heard a loud thud before discovering the student lying in a pool of blood. His roommate, found in their shared apartment shortly after, was said to be incoherent and also suspected to be under the influence of the same substance.
